All of our pieces are made from recycled 925 Sterling Silver – with or without a layer of real gold (aka: gold-plated silver). To keep your shiny treasures looking their best, here’s our not-so-secret care guide:
Daily tips
- Put on your jewelry after perfume, lotion, or hairspray – not before.
- Avoid wearing it in the shower – water and soap can dull the shine.
- Don’t swim with your jewelry – chlorine and saltwater aren’t its friends.
- Store it in a dry place, ideally in the ruru. pouch that comes with your order.
- Polish gently now and then with a soft cloth to refresh the shine.
About gold-plated pieces
Our gold-plated jewelry is made from real 925 Sterling Silver with a thin layer of gold on top.
This layer can fade over time – especially with frequent contact with water, sweat or skin.
That’s totally normal and doesn’t mean something’s wrong – it’s just how plating behaves.
The better you care for it, the longer it’ll shine =)
About oxidation
Sterling silver can naturally oxidize when it reacts with air, moisture or your skin.
That might look like slight darkening – but don’t worry!
It’s not the same as tarnishing and can be removed with a quick polish.
Oxidation is just a sign that your jewelry is made from real silver <3

Ich kaufe meine Ringe nur noch bei Ruru, das Konzept ist einfach genial. Die Ringe sind verstellbar, man kann sie also an jedem Finger tragen, sie sind unten aber trotzdem geschlossen, sodass man nirgends einhakt. Der Laden ist ausserdem richtig schön gestaltet und die Mitarbeiterinnen sind alle unglaublich lieb und sympathisch 🩷

Zur Qualität/Beständigkeit kann ich noch nicht viel sagen, da ich die Produkte noch keine Woche habe.. aber da ich mega Happy mit dem Service vor Ort war/bin, hinterlasse ich gerne die 5 Sterne.
